Participant INFORMATION

Thank you for participating in the Unity 5K. Please review the following instructions to ensure a safe, organized, and meaningful event experience.


Before You Arrive

  • Complete online registration prior to event day
  • Arrive early for parking, check-in, and warm-up
  • Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear
  • Stay hydrated and follow directions from volunteers and staff
  • Respect all participants and campus guidelines


Check-In & Staging

  • All participants must check in at the registration tent
  • Clearly marked staging areas for:
    • Walkers
    • Runners
    • ADA-Compliant Participants
  • Follow volunteer and announcer guidance 


Participant Categories & Lineup

  • Runners: Line up in the designated runner area and begin at the first Unity Bell
  • Walkers: Line up behind runners and begin at the second Unity Bell. 
  • ADA-Compliant Participants: Line up in the accessible zone and follow the designated shorter route beginning at the third Unity Bell


Route & Accessibility

  • Follow course signage and safety instructions
  • Hydration stations will be available along the route
  • ADA participants will follow a designated, shortened accessible path


Finish Line & Legacy Block Party

After completing the course, participants are encouraged to join the Legacy Block Party at the Integration Statue and Legacy Walk for music, food, wellness resources, and community celebration.


Safety & Conduct

Follow instructions from event staff, volunteers, and law enforcement, at all times. Medical support and hydration stations will be available along the route.
